ORIGINS OF THE PROJECT
The 'London City Guide' project was born after reading a story 'Katie goes to London' in Literacy class. The students wanted to visit London and so we decided to investigate this city.

My objectives were that the students worked independently investigating areas of their own personal interest within groups. Instead of the classic 'written work' project, we decided that a digital guide would be easier to travel with.

Initially we discovered famous landmarks through our map searches and through viewing London tourism videos. Later students decided on what landmarks and aspects of the city they wanted to include in their guide and in groups set out to make mini-guides for out web page.
