In 2016, Code for America announced they would form a National Advisory Council for the Brigade program. It would consist of Brigade leaders across the country elected by their peers. The first election was held in September of 2016, with nine members elected to begin the work of creating an advisory council.
With little idea of what our role was and what we should do, we went to work trying to define what governance and representation means for the Brigade network. We started this process with some facilitated workshops and listening tour of the network. We are all incredibly proud of the work that we did and the foundations that we started.
Thank you for letting us represent you!
