Welcome to the Welding Shop !!!!
We offer a full range of opportunities for our students in the Welding Industry. Students can earn worldwide recognized Welding Certifications from the American Welding Society (AWS) and the American Petroleum Institute (API). We also offer a Dual Credit College Welding program as well through Lamar Institute of Technology. Students can earn up to 26 college credit hours and a AWS Level 1 Welding Certification through this program.

About Your Teacher
I am entering my 18th year of teaching overall and my 4th year here at Coldspring-Oakhurst High School. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Sam Houston State University and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University with my Principals Certification. I am also a Certified Welding Inspector which allows me to certify my students in our program. I am the Golf Team Coach and the Bass Fishing Team Coach as well. Outside of school I Love spending time with my Wife, Kids, Granddaughter and Fishing. I am looking forward to this school year and the opportunity to help further the skills and knowledge of the students I have the privilege to be around.
