Mrs. Palmer is a dedicated 2nd-grade teacher at James Street Elementary School. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University and has her teacher certification in Early Childhood through 4th grade, as well as in English as a Supplemental Language (ESL).  She is also trained in the Science of Reading. This is Mrs. Palmer's 19th year of teaching, with all those years being in COCISD.   Her passion lies in fostering a love of learning and critical thinking in her students, and she is known for her innovative teaching methods and positive attitude. 

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Palmer enjoys trips to the beach, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Brent, and their two teenagers, Austin and Bailey.  She looks forward to another exciting year of learning and growth with her students. You can reach her at mpalmer@cocisd.org.
