GIVEITUP!
GIVEITUP!
The GiveItUP donation program aims to divert materials from the landfill during move-out and help the local community.
Accepted items include textiles in any condition such as clothes and towels, electronics in any condition, lightly used household furniture such as lamps and tables, and non-perishable food items.
Heading into its sixth year in 2026, the University hopes to divert even more materials.
On average, move-out has an estimated 4000 lbs of donations representing around 9% of total waste diversion. Help us increase the diversion and make a difference for the community via partnerships with Goodwill and the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank.
