About the Teacher:

I am: a CMHS alum, a teacher, a nature enthusiast, and a book sniffer.

I got my Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from CU Boulder, where I also received honors from the School of Education and obtained my secondary Social Studies licensure. Before teaching, I had a brief interlude as an archaeologist; it was at a dig site, teaching local school kids about the dig, that I realized I wanted to be a teacher. My Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction is also from the University of Colorado.

I am passionate in my belief that education is ongoing and indispensable. When I'm not teaching and learning, I am enjoying all of Colorado's natural wonders, reading, cooking, playing with my two kitties, or traveling.

Communication is very important to me as a teacher. While I fully expect students to take an active role in their education, I am aware that my class is one of many. There are any number of things that happen outside of my class that can (and sometimes should!) take precedence over our time in class together. If there are questions or concerns about grades, topics of study, or life in general, I encourage both students and parents to communicate with me so that learning can be both joyful and effective.

Calls during the school day will likely go to voicemail, as I am not often in my office to answer the phone. If I miss your call, I will return it as soon as I am able! You can reach my office phone at:

The best way to reach me is via email; I check it early and often! Please be aware that I do not check devices after 8pm or on the weekends. You can email me by clicking the link below:
