Infographics are visual representations of complex information and are a combination of numbers/statistics, words, charts, and images.  

In our Intro to Infographics lesson, students in grades 3 and 4 visually represented the information acquired about the history of an invention in sports, entertainment, or food.  For this assignment, they used the timeline format.  We considered the use consistent objects/shapes, fonts, and colors to make the information easier for an audience to process.  They used either a single line/timeline or arrows to represent the historical events in the life of the invention.
