Using watercolors, illustrator and artist Chris Soentpiet (Soon-Peet) came to Clayton Huey Elementary School to share his experiences as a painter and how he came to become a beloved children's book illustrator.
Students and their families had a wonderful time creating Valentine's Day projects and gifts for the one's they love. What a great way to show kindness and creativity at Clayton Huey!
4th and 5th grade students performed some of our favorite holiday classics! For many, it was their first performance and they were amazing!
Center Moriches High School's National Math Honor Society students provided an amazing day of creativity and engineering for our 4th and 5th graders! STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Music) is a program that is used for guided inquiry, design and critical thinking.
Fourth grade students have the opportunity to engage in a culture that some of our students experience on a daily basis. Thank you to Chief Wallace and our friends from the Unkechaug Nation for teaching us and celebrating with us!
