Course Descriptions
Game Art Design
This course introduces students to techniques used in the electronic game industry. Students will focus on the principles used in game design including mathematical and virtual modeling. Emphasis is placed on areas related to art, history, ethics, plot development, storyboarding, programming, 2D Visual theory, and interactive play technologies.
Students develop physical and virtual games using hands-on experience and a variety of software. Art, English language, arts, mathematics, and science are reinforced.
Digital Design & Animation
This course is an introductory level course focusing on the concepts and tools used by digital artists in a wide variety of creative careers including graphic design, film, and game design. Students work with professional-grade creative software packages to develop 2D and 3D digital graphics and audio/video media.
Students use Adobe CC Suite, and digital 3D modeling with 3DS Max to build needed skills for subsequent course. English language arts, mathematics, and science are reinforced.
