Mrs. Smith's Class

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!

To stay informed with your class or your child's class please join the classes Remind 101. This will be my main way of communicating to the class about important dates and assignments. The Remind 101 signup information is located on the course syllabus. I encourage each student and parent/guardian to sign up.

About Mrs. Smith

My name is Natalie Smith and I have been at North Meck since the 2006 - 2007 school year. This is my 14th year teaching and my 14th year at North. I absolutely love North Meck and the family (both faculty and former students/athletes) that I have gained from working here. Each teacher and student bring their own unique attributes to make North Meck a special place.

I made my way to North Carolina from Bradenton, Florida to attend East Carolina University, Go Pirates! I graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Athletic Training and then completed courses for my teaching license. I love the content I teach and I hope my students do as well. I have had many students find a passion for a variety of medical careers including Athletic Training from my class and I hope it continues this year. Besides being a teacher I am also the CMS Athletic Trainer for North Meck. Due to my Athletic Training responsibilities after school, my schedule is not consistent so tutoring will be offered by appointment only. Students can sign up for tutoring during class.

Starting September 4th I will be maternity leave until around the end of the 1st quarter. My long term substitute will be Mr. Ritchy. He and I will be in contract throughout my leave. Students will have daily assignments to complete and turn in as well as unit tests. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.

I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you and hope we have a fantastic year! If there is anything I can help you with to succeed in this class please let me know.
