School Counseling Services:

• Individual Counseling: Counselors offer individual counseling as needed. This can be done through self, teacher or parent referral. Request forms may be obtained from any of the student's teachers to see the Counselor. Students may return them directly to the Counselor or their teacher. Every effort is made to meet with scholars within 24 hours of receiving the request. Sessions may occur via zoom, or in person.

• Classroom Guidance: Classroom Guidance lessons are facilitated at least once a quarter.Counseling curriculum topics include conflict resolution, IB Learner profiles, Study skills, Career planning and Character education.

• Group Counseling: Groups are offered throughout the year on such topics as conflict resolution, bullying, and social skills.

• Registration: Counselors hold registration in the spring each year. During this time, Counselors facilitate sessions to explain the registration card to the students. Students are asked to take the registration cards home for parents to help assist in completion. Counselors also visit feeder schools to register any incoming scholars using the same process.
