Hello, my name is Mary Gath and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Olde Providence. I have been teaching for 26 years - 20 of those have been in kindergarten.  This will be my eighteenth year at Olde Providence.  I am originally from Ohio, but have lived in Charlotte now for 25 years. I attended Ohio Wesleyan University - a small school close to Columbus.  Born and raised in Ohio means my whole family are huge Buckeye fans!  I am married with three children.  All of my children attended Olde Providence.  My husband is an eighth grade Social Studies teacher at Community House Middle School.  I have twins - Ashley and Dunbar - who recently graduated from college.  Ashley attended NC State and Dunbar attended Appalachian State. My youngest son, Ewan, will be a  sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill.  We are officially empty nesters!   We have a rescue German Shepherd named Gray and a Black Lab named Scarlet - who are both happy to have us to themselves!
