Take a trip to see the many animals at the San Diego Zoo. Try one of the many web cams and feel like you are standing right next to some of the most interesting animals. Hear the stories of all these very special animals and see what you can do to protect and enjoy them for many days and years to come.
Take a virtual tour of the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Visit one of the many animal stories and live web cams that are available. Take the Otter Personality Quiz and see which exhibit otter you might be most like.
Put on your "detective hat" and see how many creatures you can spot or identify on the poster. (Some of the posters have almost 50 different animals!) When you can't find any more, use the poster key to check your list.
Try One of Ed Emberley's book/activities. He has written over 80 books for children that involve stories and crafts or drawings. Use Picture Pie to make a spring picture with birds, butterflies, and flowers.
Visit former Children’s Poet Laureate KennNesbitt’s amazing website Poetry4Kids and choose some poems to read. There is so much to explore in this site! If your parents agree, have them film you reading your favorite poem and email it to me christinem.bahnweg@cms.k12.nc.us . You could also create a Flipgrid ( https://flipgrid.com/bahnweg9631 ) to share your poetry readings or post them on Google Classroom).
