*ARRIVAL TIME 11:45. If your child requires a CMS provided lunch, arrive at 11:15am
Official accommodations for the PSAT, SAT, AP Exams, and ACT are granted ONLY through approval by the testing companies (College Board or ACT). Having an IEP or a 504 plan DOES NOT automatically qualify your child for accommodations. The individual testing companies make the decision.
(PSAT, SAT, & AP)
Parents/Guardians and/or students must download and complete the “Consent Form for Request for Accommodations” and submit the form to Dr. Pendergrass by August 11th, 2025.
Once Dr. Pendergrass has received the consent form, she will complete the request for accommodations through the College Board for your child and notify you of the decision once it has been received.
Accommodations approved by the College Board will be honored for all College Board assessments for the duration of your child’s high school career as long as the IEP or 504 Plan remains in place with the given accommodations.
It can take up to 8 weeks to receive a decision. Plan accordingly. Be sure to check the accommodation application deadline on the College Board website for each specific test.
(PACT & ACT)
A parent/guardian or student must go to the ACT website to download and print the "Consent to Release Information to ACT" form to Dr. Pendergrass by August 20, 2025. Sign the form, write the ACT test date on the form, and return it to Dr. Pendergrass at CPEC.
Dr. Pendergrass will then complete the ACT Accommodations Request and notify you when a decision is made.
Students who receive approval for accommodations on the ACT must contact Dr. Pendergrass each time they take another ACT so she can update the record to receive accommodations.
Be aware that it can take up to 7 weeks to receive a decision. Plan accordingly.
A student whose accommodations are NOT approved for the statewide ACT test date has two options: (1) choose to take the ACT with no accommodations and receive a score that CAN be reported to colleges OR (2) take the ACT with accommodations that are in the IEP or 504 Plan that were not approved by ACT and receive scores that are NOT able to be reported to colleges.
