Honors Holocaust 

The purpose of this course is to equip learners with knowledge about an event that fundamentally challenged human values, teaching and learning about the Holocaust gives learners the opportunity to understand some of the mechanisms and processes that lead to genocide and the choices people made to accelerate, accept or resist the process of persecution and murder, acknowledging that these choices were sometimes

made under extreme circumstances.

The course will focus on the history of antisemitism in Europe and how normal people were complicit in this tragedy.

AP Human Geography 

In this course, students will explore how humans have understood, used, and changed the surface of Earth. You’ll use the tools and thinking processes of geographers to examine patterns of human population, migration, and land use. If your student has never taken a History AP course before, this is a great introduction to AP courses.

AP U.S. History 

Advanced Placement U.S. History is the study of the cultural, economic, political, and social developments that have shaped the United States from c. 1491 to the present. Students enrolled in the course will analyze texts, visual sources, and other historical evidence and write essays expressing historical arguments. This course will help prepare students for university as it is taught as a college level course. 

AP Government

AP U.S. Government and Politics is an introductory college-level course in U.S. government and politics. Students will grow in their knowledge of the U.S. government and politics through analysis and hands-on learning of the US Constitution, our election process, and the role of the government in our lives. Students will dive into additional topics such as constitutionalism, liberty and order, civic participation in a representative democracy, competing policy-making interests, and methods of political analysis.
