LOgging into Chromebook at home

At certain times, you might encounter challenges with your CMS Chromebook. Here are some typical issues along with potential solutions.

ACCESS DENIED ERROR

If you encounter difficulty accessing a website, please refer to the instructions for clearing the cache and history in Google Chrome to address this issue.

BAD REQUEST HEADER TOO LONG

This issue may arise when attempting to access a website. To fix this problem, please clear the cache and history in Google Chrome.

CHROMEBOOK DISPLAY ROTATED 

If your Chromebook screen is incorrectly oriented (rotated 90˚ or upside down), press and hold the Ctrl + Shift keys on your keyboard. While keeping these keys held down, press the refresh key (located above the 4 key) until the display is correctly aligned.

CHROMEBOOK SIGN-IN ISSUES 

If your Chromebook is requiring you to enter your old password when signing in, click Forgot Password. Then click Proceed Anyway

CHROMEBOOK WILL NOT TURN ON

Use this guide to perform a hard reset on your Chromebook. It may be necessary to repeat this reset 3 or 4 times for the Chromebook to respond. Try connecting the Chromebook to an alternate charger if available. If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve your issue, please contact your student's school to exchange the Chromebook.

SCREEN APPEARS ZOOMED IN
