McDowell, Nikki

My name is Nikki.  I’ve been a licensed occupational therapy practitioner since 2019, but I've worked with children with diverse needs in the school system and various settings for over a decade.  I received my undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University before returning to school to pursue occupational therapy.  First, at Central Piedmont Community College and then at Belmont University in Nashville, TN.  I'm very excited to be back in the school setting because I love working collaboratively with teachers and parents to develop strategies to support our students.  In my spare time, I’m an amateur aerialist and dog mom of two.
