Shamica Haniff is a native New Yorker and recent Charlotte transplant. She graduated from the City University of New York, York College with an B.S./M.S. in Occupational Therapy. Shamica is a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist with a comprehensive background spanning 13 years, providing therapeutic services across various settings and has been committed to enhancing the lives of individuals through targeted interventions and collaborative care.
From 2015 to 2024, Shamica served as a Level II Occupational Therapist at the New York City Department of Education. In this role, Shamica provided direct services to middle school students with a wide range of disabilities, including ADHD, Autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, learning disabilities, and physical impairments. Shamica identified barriers to learning, and designed targeted interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and adaptive behaviors.
Shamica holds professional certifications as a Licensed Occupational Therapist in the states of North Carolina and New York and is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
