Dear West Charlotte High School Families & Friends,

My name is Beverly Glover Logan, a veteran educator, and a native of Charlotte, North Carolina. I am also a proud product of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. 

I am delighted to be a Mighty Lion staff member at West Charlotte High School (WCHS), where I completed my student teaching program. I am a WCHS volunteer and have been on staff part-time for 11 years.  My mother and other immediate family members attended and graduated from WCHS.  Currently, extended family members attend WCHS and are also proud of our rich heritage within the WCHS family.

I hold professional credentials and degrees from Livingstone College (Salisbury, NC), Winthrop University (Rock Hill, SC), University of North Carolina at Charlotte (Charlotte, NC), and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. My credentials have afforded me various opportunities in the public education arena.  Therefore, I am indeed very excited to support scholars who are interested in online courses designed to get them on track for graduation, take prerequisite courses for our IB Program or simply take  a course of interest.

Although online courses are not for everyone, our scholars are afforded an opportunity to enroll and support systems are in place to assist them in doing their best.  My goal is to work very closely with scholars and to encourage them to successfully complete each course enrolled.  

I truly believe, "Education is a Family Affair," so parents and guardians will have access to attendance information and can follow course progress through the parent portal.  Therefore, please review the information available on my website to become familiar with the two platforms, Edgenuity and North Carolina Virtual Public School.  Thank you for your interest and please reach out if you have questions.
