⁉️ Barnette Media Center FAQ ⁉️
When am I able to go to the media center?
Each student comes to the media center with their class as part of their Special Areas rotation. Ask your teacher what day this is for you. Students may also come to the library during open check out in the morning before 8:00.
How many books may I check out?
Kindergarten - 1 book, 1st & 2nd grade - up to 2 books, 3rd-5th grade - up to 3 books. Students may only check out books if they have no lost or overdue books.
How long can I keep a book?
Books are due back after two weeks. Students come to the library once a week, so that would be the perfect time to trade in their books for new ones.
What happens if I lose my book? What happens if my book is damaged?
If your book is lost or damaged, just let Mrs. Hurd know. She will send a notice home with payment information. Lost or damaged book fees can only be paid online through the Online School Payment website.
What happens if my book is overdue?
If your book is overdue, please return it. We do not charge late fines. Mrs. Hurd will send home overdue notices at the end of each quarter.
