Below you will find information about auditions, the sign-up form, callbacks, and the material to prepare! Please note that because of the largely increased interest in our show this year, your student is not guaranteed a role in the show. Allow students to access these resources to practice and come prepared to their audition!
Students must be in 2nd-6th grade to audition! (26-27 school year)
Please select 2+ songs to sing at your audition (it is your choice based on what character(s) you are interested in).
*Any student can sing any song regardless of gender of the singer on the track or even if they aren't interested in that specific character.*
Audition Songs for - October 12th OR 13th from 4:30-6:30 (Pick 2 or more to sing)
Maybe
*Select this song if you are interested in Annie, one of the other kids, etc.
Little Girls
*Select this song if you are interested in Miss Hannigan or any other role.
You can sing the whole song if you'd like, but I would definitely like to hear the end.
Easy Street
You can learn all lines or specific ones for the part you are interested in.
*Select this song if you are interested in Rooster, Lily St. Regis, Miss Hannigan, or another comical role.
It's the Hard Knock Life
*Select this song if you are interested in any orphan role or if you are unsure which other song to sing!
Callback Auditions - October 15th from 4:30-5:30
If your student recieves a callback audition, you will be notified on or before Wednesday, October 15th. These will take place in the Chantilly Montessori Music Room on October 15th from 4:30-5:30. Not recieving a callback does not mean they are not cast. There are separate songs/sides that students will sing and read in a group setting. Preparation is not required for callbacks but encouraged if you feel inclined.
The students will learn this song as a group during the callbacks and sing through it in groups and potentially individually.
Callback Sides
"Sides" are scenes from the show that are cut into small skits for the students to read and act in a small group. Students will be shuffled around in different combinations/characters and perform for the group. They are linked below if students would like to read over beforehand, but not required.
