Remote Learning Tip Sheets

Now What?

On top of the stresses we fill as we live through a pandemic that is threatening our world, we find ourselves trying to juggle working from home, sharing space and time with your whole family, and trying to manage a new challenge: school at home.

These tips are a combination of interviews with homeschool parents and resources that have inudated us since this whole thing started. Our hope is that it gives you some ideas to provide some structure and let's face it, keep your sanity! In the end, if our students are writing, reading, and discussing things about this time in our life, they will be better for it. Please use these tools to keep them moving forward and provide some options for your family.

Before we get started, Remember to...

Be Patient

We don't know what tomorrow looks like much less next week. It is very likely that we might get frustrated because things are not working or you are not sure what to do next. Give yourself permission to step away for awhile. Patience and Grace!

Be realistic

As we move to remote learning, you should not expect the day to look like a typical school day. Teachers are working to continue instructional momentum while recognizing the barriers and challenges our families have.

Be Flexible

Every home will be dealing with a variety of factors that impact their environment. Make fluid decisions based on the individual needs of your family.
