Officers & Duties

Theatre Guild officers are elected by and from the membership of the International Thespian Society (ITS). One must be an active member of ITS to be eligible to serve as an officer. To find out more about officers and their duties, please look to page 18.

Fundraising

The Theatre Guild produces multiple fundraisers during the school year. Some fundraisers are Afterschool Concessions, Dinner, and a Show, School Day Shows, and Class Projects that culminate in public performances (Fable Fest Follies, Annual Lip Sync Battle, and Final Performance Assessments for the Fall and Spring Terms). Additional fundraisers may include car washes, candy grams, online fundraisers (Snap Raise), and more traditional “sale” type, fundraisers.

Member Dues, Expectations, & Perks

Dues:

To join the Theatre Guild, a student simply needs to contact Mr. Braem and pay dues for the year. Dues are $15.00 per year.

Expectations:

All members of the Theatre Guild are expected to attend fundraisers, class performance assessments, and mainstage productions. It takes a lot of work both on and off stage to produce the amount of theatre that our department does. There is always an opportunity to get involved both on and off stage. Additionally, there will be several opportunities for parents to get involved in the theatre department. Theatre Guild and ITS members are also expected to vote for our Annual Awards after our mainstage season. Because of this, attendance at all mainstage productions are REQUIRED.

Perks:

All members will receive a Theatre Guild T-Shirt and one ticket to each Mainstage Show. In addition to these perks, Theatre Guild members are also eligible to participate in several Theatre Department-sponsored field trips throughout the school year.
