Ms. Sanchez's English I

Class overview

In this class, you will be expected to critically read and learn from the texts assigned each week. We will explore a variety of themes this year together. These themes include: world's end, star- crossed romance, journeys and transformations, and survival. We will read fiction and nonfiction to include extended texts

About me

My name is Alyssa Sanchez. I was born in Vicenza, Italy as my father was in the military at the time. I have lived in Clarksville since I was two. I graduated as valedictorian from Northeast High School and went on to the University of Chicago. I love Chicago! I go back as often as I can. I have a bachelors in Classics and originally wanted to teach Latin, but fell in love with teaching English. This will be my third year teaching English and Freshman Focus! I recently graduated from Autin Peay with my Masters of Teaching. I also co-sponsor JCL.

My family

To the left is my cat Catara (named after the Avatar character) and to the bottom is Einstein. I have had him since he was 8 weeks old and he is now 13! We all live together and they make up my little family. Unfortunately, they do not pay rent.
