Math
In math, we are steadily working in Unit 4. In Unit 4, students will estimate, measure, and compare the lengths of objects in inches, feet, and yards. Students will also learn how to choose the appropriate tool for measuring when measuring length.

Literacy
We are enjoying Unit 2 in Reader's workshop. Unit 2 is all about reading nonfiction. This unit will teach readers to grow knowledge with learning and questioning. In the beginning, students will grow knowledge, then they will learn the lingo of a topic, ending with reading across topics.
Students are working hard in Unit 3, Writing About Reading-Opinion. Students will be write their opinion about some beloved books and try to persuade others to love them as much as they do.
Inquiry
2nd grade has began our new inquiry unit all about Inventions and Innovations. In this unit, children learn how science and technologies influence beliefs, knowledge, and their daily lives. They study how basic technologies such as telephones, ships, automobiles, and airplanes have evolved and how we have employed technology such as air conditioning, dams, and irrigation to modify our physical environment and contribute to changes in global health and economics.
