David Eber is the Executive Director of Admissions and Financial Aid for Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College. David grew up in New York City and moved to Pittsburgh after graduating from Allegheny College with a BA in Political Science. David is a 2002 graduate of the Master of Public Management (MPM) program at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to joining the staff at Heinz in 2003, David was an Assistant Director in the Office of Undergraduate Admission at Carnegie Mellon.
In 2019, David was selected as the Pennsylvania Association of Financial Aid Administrator (PAFSAA) Leadership Award and Outstanding Team Award recipient. He currently serves as the PASFAA Technology Committee Chair. And he previously served on PASFAA’s Executive Council as the Graduate Sector Rep. He has presented at PASFAA conferences and coordinates statewide training webinars for Pennsylvania.
In his role at Heinz College, David works with many fellowship and service organizations including the Peace Corps, CityYear, Coro, Teach for America, Payne, Pickering, and PPIA to build pathways to graduate school for their alumni and affiliates.
