Alejandra Magaña Gamero is a 4th year Ph.D candidate at UCLA in the department of Education, Social Sciences and Comparative Education with an emphasis in Race and Ethnic Studies. She earned her Master of Arts in Education from UCLA and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Ethnic Studies from Santa Clara University. Alejandra is a CLYLP SLC 2013 alum, 2014 Ellie Peck Alumni Intern, 2015 Peer Counselor, 2016 Comcast Fellow, 2020 Scholarship Recipient, and served as the fellowship facilitator for the last four years! She is also a co-founder of Latinas Talk Dinero, a bilingual financial literacy instagram platform dedicated to making financial education accessible. In her free time she enjoys hiking, running, working out and going to the beach.
