Welcome to the 2019-20 school year! I am excited to get to know your child and watch them grow over the next school year. For many of my students, this will be their first real experience with science, and I plan to have them leave my class with new skill sets that will enable them to have a successful school career. I have many exciting and engaging labs and lessons planned, and I am looking forward to making this year's science class enjoyable for your child.

Have your child show you their up-to-date class schedule and check what period they have General Science in with Ms. Brooks.

With it being the beginning of the school year, schedules are changing a lot. Your child may be moved into a different period of mine, and if that's the case he/she will just need to know their due dates are going to be a bit off. You can always switch to the other Remind code if this happens. If you have any questions, I will be answering them on Bruin Back-To-School-Night, this Thursday, August 22nd. You can also check the FAQ's that are posted on my website as well which can be found in the 'Back to School Night' tab, or shoot me an email at KaylaBrooks@CUSD.com.

Check your child's green science folder. I gave them their specific google classroom code and inside their folder pocket you will find their code for class dojo on a small white piece of paper. If your child was absent the day I gave these out, email me at KaylaBrooks@cusd.com
