Friday, Dec. 15 - Game Day - Bud Rank @ Copper Hills (Varsity GBB & All Sports B/C Teams @ 2:15; Varsity WR @ 3; BBB @ 3:15)

(PE every Monday, Thursday, and sometimes Friday. Must wear athletic shoes for PE.)

This Week in Curriculum

Students will complete lesson 14 in their Word Wise workbooks for spelling and vocabulary. In math, we will take the official test on chapter 6 (Expressions) on Monday. We will then begin chapter 7 (Equations) on Tuesday and we plan on completing the chapter before break. In reading, we will continue our core lit book, Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, this week; we will finish the book just prior to Winter Break. Throughout the week, the class will work on the district's writing performance task (informative writing); all essays should be complete by Friday. The following tests will be given on this week: Science Quiz (Monday), Spelling, Vocabulary, and Daily Language (Friday).

This Week in Rotations

SCIENCE (with Mrs. Jackson): Students will submit their 3.1 outlines and Weather Light Bulb for grading on Monday. The Weather Quiz will also be given on Monday. The quiz is an open notebook assessment and students have been encouraged to take good notes in their notebooks.

SOCIAL STUDIES (with Mr. Derby): Mr. Derby will wrap up Ancient Egypt Civilizations. Students will continue to work on their pyramid projects. Pyramids are due the week of Dec. 18; students will also take the Ancient Egypt test that week in their homeroom.

TECHNOLOGY (with Mrs. Vargas/Mrs. McGee): During technology, students will finish any unfinished iCam and iCal tests. For those students who have already submitted their tests, they will be able to participate in the Hour of Code - a block of time dedicated toward learning programming code.
