About me
Hello! I'm so excited to be starting my third year at ASI! Over the last eighteen years, I've had the opportunity to teach fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grades at both St. Anthony's School in Fresno and Gettysburg Elementary in Clovis.
I graduated from Maranatha Baptist University in 2000 with a degree in theology. When I moved to the Valley from Wisconsin, I went back to school to earn my teaching credential through CSU-Fresno. In 2021, I earned my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on reading instruction.
I have three children who all attend Clovis schools and a wonderful wife who is also an educator in Clovis. We also have one dog and two cats. As a family, we like lake days, camping, motorcycles, and playing in the mountains.
I love reading! This summer I went on a Robert Jordan (Wheel of Time) binge! Some of my favorite books and book series are the Harry Potter series, anything by Brandon Sanderson (Mistborn, Stormlight Archives), Rob Roy, Ivanhoe, Shogun, the Pendragon Series, The Ranger's Apprentice series, the Inkspell books, Dune, and a whole lot more!
