Welcome!

Welcome to 6th grade!  This will be my twentieth year in education. I have taught primary, sixth grade, and was in administration.   I am very happy to be your child’s teacher and excited about the school year ahead of us.  I realize that next to you, I may be the single largest influence in your child’s life for the next ten months and I consider that to be an important responsibility.  I believe that students learn most effectively when parents and teachers work hand in hand; therefore, I will be in close contact with you throughout the year.  It is vital to keep you informed about how your child is doing in school.  Please feel free to contact me whenever you have a question or a concern.  I can be reached at 559-327-7000 or erinpickle@clovisusd.k12.ca.us .  Jefferson will also utlize Parent Square.

My main goal for the students is to develop good work habits, a sense of responsibility, show kindness, and help them strive for their personal best.  I want each student to be successful and to be excited about coming to class.  Every student is capable and outstanding in their own way and I see it as my role to guide them to always do their best in order to find their own level of personal success.  No one ever stops growing, learning, or striving for new goals.

This is a wonderful group of students and I am looking forward to an enjoyable and successful year!  Thank you in advance for entrusting your child to me and I will do my personal best to provide them with an appropriate educational environment that is warm and welcoming.  Go Blue Jays!
