How to activate the OTG function
If you are using an Android device and having difficulties connecting the AR1. Please check if the OTG function is activated.

As android system is an open platform, different manufacture may have different setting. Therefore, it may not be available for ALL android to activate the OTG function

From our experience, even the same brand will have different setting on different the devices. From our experience a SAMSUNG S21 can activated the OTG function while NOTE 11 doesn’t support the same function.

IOS system will detect and recognized the input sound source, therefore it can be directly use with the default camera app.

New model to activated OTG Method 1:
Launch Camera – Swipe to MORE and select pro mode – select USB on the screen – turn on AR1 and check if it is connected successfully
New model to activated OTG Method 2:
Try to connect the default OTG adaptor provided by Samsung. And connect the AR1 recorder via the OTG adaptor. Check if it is connected successfully.

Download the Open Camera App from Google Play store. And follow the steps below, remember to set the sample rate to 48000Hz
1. Download open camera app
2. Start open camera app
3. Select settings
4. Select external mic as audio source
5. Start recording
If you use other apps
(please remember to activate external mic source instead of internal, and set sample rate @48KHz.)
**It does not guarantee that the AR1 can be connected**
