Collaborative Inboxes  / Getting started with Collaborative Inboxes

Assign conversations

Once a message is received in the collaborative inbox, any group member can assign the conversation to themselves or another member. 

As you cannot create folders within a Collaborative Inbox, messages are managed using tags, assignment and resolution status. 

Filters can be applied to show only the messages that you wish to work with e.g. all messages that have been marked as complete, all messages assigned to you, or all messages that require no further actions. 

To assign a conversation to yourself, click on Assign to me.

To assign a conversation to someone else:

  • Click on Assign to someone 

  • Type the name of the person you wish to assign the message to

  • Type a message to support the assignment

  • Click on Done

If you change your mind about assigning a conversation to yourself, click on the conversation to open it, then click on the Remove Assignment button.
