Elementary Music

This first month of school we will be learning names, pitch exploration, echo songs and movement with the beat.

The first month we will be learning names, going to the farm (duck, hen, lamb, cow), keeping a steady beat.

The first month we will be doing; Follow the leader (pulse), Move and Freeze (same/different), Clap Your Hands (prepare SM), Hickory, Dickory Dock (Up/Down,Pulse Ostinato,vocal qualities).

The first month we will be doing the following; Go! Go! Go! (mallet technique,AB), I Can Keep the Beat (pulse), Rhythm Cards (quarter & double eighth notes), Charlie Over the Ocean (SM, mallet technique), Game with Instruments.

The first month we will be working on the following; Up the Ladder (Pulse, SML), Rhythmic training, The Golden Rule (SML, AB), Moving to the pulse (Pulse, prepare whole note), Rhythmic Reading (Rhythm patterns), Rhythm Game, Four Beats After (pulse, prepare canon/round), Remember Me (Whole note, vocal ostinato, cross over)

The first month we will be working on the following; reviewing names of notes and duration.

The first month I will be testing voices to put students into part l or part ll.
