Who is your Foods Teacher?

Bio

My Name is Mr Sandy Stratton. I am the Foods and Nutrition Teacher here at Stonepark Intermediate School.

Before becoming a Teacher, I was trained as a Chef at The Culinary Institute of Canada. I worked in many restaurants in Charlottetown, and even had my own for a while called, "Sandy's"! I worked a great deal of time at the Delta Hotel (Previously the CP Hotel) and it was here where I understood that I enjoyed working with and teaching the cooks under my supervision, as much as I enjoyed actually cooking food for customers. This is when I made the decision to become a teacher, earning my education degree at UPEI.

After several years of teaching different subjects at various grade levels, I was lucky enough to return to my first love of cooking, becoming the Foods and Nutrition Teacher here at Stonepark Intermediate School.
