Literacy Week: Beautiful bookmark contest submissions, cozying up with a good book, and favourite character dress up.

In Math class, students designed their own hot cocoa stands and had to think about what they needed to purchase! They then used their mental math skills to add multiple of the same items they purchased. Additionally, they learned how to use the calculator on the Chromebook to determine their larger total. I was very impressed with with the thinking and creativity that students exhibited during this learning engagement!

In order to gain some background knowledge for our Unit 6 Fundations story, we needed to try some baseball in 2A! It was the Red Sox vs. The Yankees! While there may not have been any home runs, playing baseball during Fundations time was definitely a hit! 

Working in groups to design our own posters for the classroom/garbage bins to help us with our daily sorting!
