BIOGRAPHY

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! I am elated to be your child's creative writing teacher. This year we will soar to the top. Your child will be the best writer in Clint ISD. With this being said, let me formally introduce myself.

EDUCATION

In 2002, I earned my Bachelor's of English and American Literature from the University of Texas at El Paso. Being a life long learner, I returned to school in 2005 to obtain my Master's degree in Instructional Specialist in Reading.

FAMILY

I am a proud mother of five children. My oldest graduated from the University of Texas at Austin - Hook 'em Horns \m/. My oldest daughter has two beautiful children. My 22 year old is studying to become a teacher and my second youngest daughter is an early college student. Our little one keeps us on our toes. My husband and I are fully occupied with work and sports :-).

REMOTE LEARNING

Hello, parents and students,

I hope you and your family are safe and healthy. WE will begin our school year through remote learning utilizing ILearn@home. I will be uploaded lessons on a weekly basis in Google Classroom/Ilearn@home. Most of these lessons will consist of writing essays, revising and editing sentences. I will attach videos in case any student needs a review. If and when I introduce a new concept, I will upload a screencastify (video) that will show students how to complete the work/project.

I will utilize my conference hour as my office hours:

  • 12:30 to 2:00 PM on A days
  • Students or parents can reach me at this time for any questions that might arise.
  • However, parents/students may email me at claudia.esparza@clint.net at any time.

Thank you for being patient as we ALL deal with this pandemic. We appreciate your support! Again, I am here to assist in any way possible. Stay safe and healthy!
