ClearMechanic is a global software company changing the automotive industry. We provide solutions enabling automotive workshops to build trust with consumers through innovative mobile and web applications. Our customers include car manufacturers, luxury dealerships, and small workshops.

As lead developer, you will be responsible for underlying architecture of our product and management of other developers. Furthermore, you will be responsible for development of new potential products. Responsibilities:

- Reports directly to CEO and president.

- Works with existing User Experience, Quality Assurance and Business Analyst teams.

- Works with current development team, which is based in Russia, while simultaneously building a development team in our Mexico office.

- Responsible for the underlying architecture for the ClearMechanic mobile and web applications, as well as managing work conducted by software engineers working on the application.

- Understand and empathize with all stakeholders in automotive repair process: consumer, mechanic (technician), service advisor, shop owner, OEM/manufacturer, insurance companies.

- Act as an interface between developers and management, control ownership of development plans and supervisor responsibilities in delegating work and ensuring software projects come in on time and under budget.

- Serve as technical advisor to management and provide programming perspective on requirements.

- Act as a mentor for new or lower-level software developers or programmers, as well as for all the members of the development team.

- Communicate with team members in different departments, including sales, marketing and support teams in both English and Spanish language.

Candidate MUST have the following characteristics:

- Passionate about joining a fast-growing software company changing the automotive industry!

- Experience developing with .NET technology stack, including experience with C#, ASP.Net MVC, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript.

- Excellent English speaking and writing skills. The development team is based in Russia and primarily speaks English. Our sales and support team, and our customers are, based in Latin America. Therefore, the person must be comfortable speaking and writing in English (for developers) and Spanish (for customers and other team members).

- Ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable.

- Detail-oriented and organized.

Candidate IDEALLY, but not required, to have the following characteristics:

Previous experience as lead developer for products with business users and consumer users.
