The Transportation Department report says that by 2035, EVs will account for 60% of new vehicle sales, up from 3% today. That would put us on track for about 35 million EVs on U.S. roads by 2035 — compared to 1 million today.

There's a shortage of technicians who can work on EVs and Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (EVCI). You can take advantage of this by becoming a zero emission technician. The number of needed technicians is expected to grow by 23% by 2024, with median pay above $60,000 annually.

About the Program:
There will be 5 cohorts. If you are not selected, you may be eligible for future cohorts.
Each cohort will have 4 weeks of classroom training followed by 4 weeks of hands-on training at the job sites.
The Cohorts will have training on:
EVCI (electric vehicle charging infrastructure) installation.
ZEV Manufacturing, maintenance, and Service.
ZEV Driving and Operation.
