Hello, Please review our most recent teaching and learning update as presented to the NKEC Board in January. We reviewed fall MAP data and action steps moving forward.
2020 was a memorable year for us at Cambridge Lakes Learning Center. We learned some of the most valuable life lessons as we navigated remote learning together both in the spring and in our current school year. Collectively, school leadership has been grateful and humbled by the outpouring of support and perseverance that filled our virtual walls these past 9 months. We look into the 2021 year with hope that we will return to campus as soon as it is safe enough to do so and look forward to discussing those details at our next town hall meeting on January 7th, at 7pm.
Take Care and Happy New Year, Principal Brady
Congratulations to the October Students of the Month! We are so proud to work alongside you as you learn and grow in remote learning. We celebrated 18 students yesterday morning with a virtual breakfast. Nominated students received a shiny yard sign and a care package delivered to their home as well as a virtual badge for their Schoology and email accounts.
Watch this video to help us celebrate our Staff Members of the Month- Ms. Carry Michaels and Mrs. Lynn Franckowiak. A big thank you to everyone who nominated our staff to recognize how incredibly amazing they all are. In total, we received just shy of 100 nominations in the month of October!

This is my third year as a principal at Cambridge Lakes Learning Center , and I love being present at school every day, even while in remote learning. Some things I look forward to are my 1:1 relationships with students, helping teachers problem-solve, and working in a school that has such a tight-knit community of adults and kids working together.
Before CLLC, I taught 3rd grade in Oregon, Illinois, while coaching girls volleyball. My focus as an educator and coach was and still is very simple: finding ways to empower students to lead themselves as they discover what motivates them to learn.
My daughter and I are happy to live in Cambridge Lakes and participate in this community and school in connected ways. Growing up splitting my time between Huntley and Carpentersville, I am glad to have this opportunity at Cambridge Lakes and be "home."
For fun, I love to play golf and volleyball, take nature walks with Stella, cook for my family, and travel to warm places.
I am proud to share that I am continuing my education. I returned to Aurora University in the Fall of 2019. I am in the middle stages of earning my doctorate in Educational Administration. My focus is on personalized learning and investigating ways to disrupt the current "factory model" of education.
