FAMILIES! We have heard your requests! Many parents have been asking about how they can be more involved with Jonesboro Middle School as well as volunteering. We are happy to announce our family committees so that parents and family members can choose how to volunteer with the Might Bears!

The JMS School Council is a collaborative group made up of parents, teachers, staff, and community members. Council members serve as an essential link between the school and the larger community, providing valuable input and perspectives on a variety of school matters.

Do you want to make sure parents have a voice in what goes on at their students’ school? Do you want to help parents stay informed about important news from Jonesboro Middle? Are you interested in bringing more parent engagement and educational workshops for parents? If these things pique your interest, you should join our parent liaison on the Golden Bear Parent Pioneers!
These are our parent leaders who help make sure JMS is incorporating parent feedback and providing our community with the resources and workshops they really need. Parent Pioneers will help shape and grow our Parent and Family Engagement Program here at Jonesboro by doing things like suggesting new workshops, assisting with the planning of family/community events, and spreading the word about school news.

Do you go to sports games and school events often? Do you like taking pictures and making memories? If so, you should join the Mighty Bear Media Team!
Work with our school’s brand ambassador to develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms. Members of this committee may be asked to assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content.

Do you want to be readily available to volunteer whenever the school needs extra helping hands? Join Parents Active With School (P.A.W.S.) today!
P.A.W.S. members will be reached out to whenever the need arises, so expect to be contacted for events like Career Day, Teacher Appreciation Events, field trips, end of year activities, and more! P.A.W.S. members may work closely with our Care Bears team for different events and activities as well.

Do you have an eye for design? Do you want to volunteer, but your interests lie more on the creative side of things?
Join the Décor Dream Team to help with decorating and setting up for dances, events, awards ceremonies, and more!
