The girls wrestling team has been crowned 3rd in the State for Area 1.
Girls placed 1st and Boy placed 3rd in the Region

The girls wrestling team has been crowned the Area 1 Region 3 Champions. This achievement marks their 7th consecutive team victory, an outstanding accomplishment.
With this win, the team will host Cherokee High School as they compete to advance to the State Team Duals.
Congratulations to our athletes and coaches on their continued success, and best of luck in the next round.
The boys will continue to get ready for individual tournaments.

The Mustang Wrestling teams started the 2025-2026 season this past weekend at separate locations and came home wearing some experience as hoped and a little bit of gold, as usual!
The Men’s and Women’s Alpha squads competed with fresh new faces at high speed competition in Clayton Co and still finished 4th in a team dual tournament of 9 teams at the Bulldog Classic at Mt Zion HS.
The Varsity battled in a field of dynamic teams at a traditional/ individual tournament and won big in Marietta at the Walton HS Invitational.
The Men finished 5th out of 15 In overall points and came home with 3 Silver Medalist, Kenneth Capellan Polanco, Emanuel Martinez and Harold McNeil. The woman shined tremendously winning in overall points scored and crowned 4 individual champions; Candessa Barker, Rosie Lara, Makiyah Wright and Lillian Heard.
Our Ladystangs also finished with 2 silver medalist in Karolina Ramirez and Marlin Santos and 3 bronze in Desiray Aikerson, Fernanda Villagomez and Kennedi Hill-Maine. Bringing home 9 individual medals in 14 weight classes.
