8th Grade Tryouts: TBD from 3:15-4:10pm
Soccer: TBD from 3:15-4:10pm
Cross Country: TBD 3:15-4:10pm
Please pick your athlete up from Door #9 at the end of practice or they can stay in the building for the YMCA Teen Time program.
Reminders: You must be in 7th or 8th grade to participate in Intramural Athletics.
If you are planning on participating in a Fall Sport, please make sure you come ready to practice on the above dates. We will have a short meeting at the beginning of your first practice and then begin tryouts/working out/drills.
Parents will have to fill out the Parent Consent Form found on this site for your student to be allowed to practice and play. If that is not filled out, we will not be able to let your child participate.
After Practice:
All athletes MUST exit from door #9 on the North side of the school building. Parents please pick them up there by 4:10.
The LPS intramural program has a closed practice policy. Because of security and safety issues, spectators (including parents) are not able to watch practice. Please wait outside door #9 to pick up your child. For no reason should parents enter the building unless authorized and checked in as a visitor via the office. If needing to speak with a staff inside, please email or call and set up a time to meet if desired.
Please be advised:
If students are not picked up from a school sporting event within 15 minutes of the ending time, the following actions will be taken. Per Joe Wright, LPS head of security, students who are left on campus after the end of the event may be left unsupervised. Schoo staff works hard to ensure the safety of all of our students, but if anyone is still on campus at that time cutoff, a non-emergency LPD officer may be called to stay with your child until a ride arrives or they may be left unsupervised. It is important for parents/guardians to know the event’s start time and plan to be back for pick up NO later than 1 hour from the start time to get their child. (Games are no more than 45 minutes in time)
