A Message From the Principal
Mickle Families,
As this November newsletter goes out to households, it's hard to believe that we are down to only three weeks until Thanksgiving break, and a short six weeks to the Winter Break. While the frequent breaks through the second quarter help to keep students focused and fresh while at school, they also certainly seem to make the time left feel very short. Please assist by keeping an eye on your student's grades and school work in the coming weeks. Once the first semester comes to an end, grades are finalized. It is important that students work with their teachers to stay on top of any missing assignments, projects, or test make-ups prior to the end of the semester. The next round of Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, November 14 from 3:30-5:30 PM. The Mickle staff will also spend 5:30-6:30 PM making targeted contacts and phone calls to households that they feel will benefit student outcomes.
Finally, we know that November and December can be a time of stress and financial strain for many families. In this newsletter, there is a list of local Lincoln organizations and programs that may be able to provide some assistance and relief for those needing the help.
