The 2023-24 season came to a close as two seniors ended their careers at CHI. Cooper Johnson became a Two Time State Finalist finishing as Runner-Up for the second consecutive year. Johnson is the first Two Time State Finalist since 2016 (Killingsworth). Johnson capped off his great career making his trip to CHI 3 times and with a record of 97-35. Cooper Johnson's season ended with 41 wins, which is tied for 7th for most wins in a season at LSE.
Stephen Sullivan-Diaz fell in the Bloodround for the second year in a row. Stephen Sullivan-Diaz ended his season with 39 wins (#10 All time for wins in a season) and 31 Pins which is tied for second all time in Pins for a season.
At 120 pounds, Freshman, Isaac Cooper, went 1-2. Zander Ferguson (Freshman 150) and Cole Schroder (Junior 157) both lost round 1 match ups before finding a Fall on the backside. Both wrestlers ended their tournament 1-2. Reagan Armstrong was still recovering from injury so he was not cleared to wrestle at State.
On the girls side, our lone State Qualifier, Raye Aldag (Sophomore 140) went 0-2.
