Hello
Welcome to the Los Mariachis de la Ciudad Estrella webpage. Los Mariachis de la Ciudad Estrella is a Lincoln Public Schools All-City Mariachi that is open to 7th - 12th grade students from all over Lincoln, which includes, not only Lincoln Public Schools, but also students who go to privater schools, and students who are home schooled. Our directors are Brett Noser (Lincoln High School) and Leila Zila (Calvert Elementary School), and we have been fortunate to have Sarah Baker from Goodrich Middle School join us. The instrumentation that we are looking for are violins, trumpets, harp, guitar, vihuela, guitarron, and everyone sings! We have had students on viola, and flute join us as well. If you are a guitarist or bassist and are interested in guitarron, or vihuela we would love to have you join us also. We have a beginning of the year parent meeting the last Thursday in August from 5 to 6pm at Lincoln High School in room 132, and we start rehearsals the first Thursday in September from 4 to 6pm at Lincoln High School in room 132. After the first rehearsal all other rehearsals will be every Thursday from 4 to 6pm in room 132 at Lincoln High School.
For the 25-26 school year those dates are:
Parent Meeting - Thursday, August 28th from 5pm to 6pm
First Rehearsal - Thursday, September 4th from 4pm to 6pm
Feel free to look at our performance dates and we hope to hear from you!
If you have any questions or would like to join Los Mariachis de la Ciudad Estrella please email Brett Noser and Leila Zila at bnoser@lps.org and lzila@lps.org
