A capstone project is a final example of work that showcases what you have learned and can express to others who you are.  Students in Grade 5 are encouraged to use Scratch to create a computer game.

What Scratch activities do you remember making during your Computer Science classes?  Which ones did you enjoy most?

What sorts of video/computer games do you like to play?

Explain to students that in this quarter, they will be using the Google CSFirst tutorials to create one or more games that will highlight many of the concepts introduced and used during the elementary Computer Science classes.

What will you make??

Plugged Activities

Students can use these tutorials to create a game.  There are eight different games tutorials and  each has several add-ons that can allow for individual design choices.  Students may have time to complete more than one game depending on available work time and rotation schedule.
