The Battle of the Books is an exciting program that encourages a love of books and reading. Teams of fourth and/or fifth graders will read books chosen by their librarians and then compete in a battle of answering questions in a quiz show format. Each team will consist of three to five students with an adult coach(es)/advisor(s).

Many of the books are also available on-demand as ebooks and/or audiobooks from Hoopla - you may access Hoopla with your library card/Pack Pass. You may purchase books if you like, but it is not necessary to do so. Different schools may follow a slightly different procedure for exchanging books so please follow the guidelines communicated by your student’s teacher or media technician.
