The 8th graders used tempera paints or watercolors to turn a photograph of their choice to an Impressionist painting. The Impressionists focused on lights and shadows, colors and values. They did not focus on details. The students were prompted to look at general shapes and colors. Towards the end of the exhibit, some students used Google Drawings to focus on general shapes and colors for their images.
