About Mrs. Berner

I am entering my 18th year in education, all of which I have served within the CCPS District as a 6th grade ELA teacher at Clark Middle and Baker Intermediate School and as the Library Media Specialist at Baker. Along with teaching, I direct Baker Intermediate’s annual musical.  

My husband, Collin, is the chorus teacher at Baker. We have been married for 19 years and have two dogs, Yuna and Cali,  who are very spoiled. I am originally from Newton, NC, but moved to Beattyville, KY, where I graduated high school. I hold degrees from the University of Kentucky and Georgetown College.

When not teaching, I enjoy reading, watching UK Sports (Go Cats!), playing trivia, supporting the arts, and gaming. I also enjoy spending time with my family. During the summer, I stay busy by volunteering at the Cathedral Domain Camp & Conference Center in Lee County.

I am looking forward to a great year!
